Ordering a repeat prescription

Repeat Prescriptions

If you take certain medication on a regular basis, your doctor may authorise you to obtain repeat prescriptions from the surgery. Prescriptions are issued on the practice computer - this allows both us and you to have a record of all prescription items. Your prescriptions come with a tear-off section, which becomes the 'prescription request form'. This lists the names and doses of your medicines. Tick those medicines which you require and hand in or post the request to us. 

Please register to be able to request your repeat medication on line, ask at reception or at the dispensary at Speldhurst.  Access to the dispensary via email will be withdrawn.  Online registration will also allow you to see other aspects of your medical history such as immunisations and allergies.

Please give three (3) working days notice to allow requests to be processed and monitored. eg if you put in the request on a Monday the medication should be available on Thursday.

In order to avoid potentially dangerous errors we regret that we cannot take repeat prescriptions over the telephone. Written requests are accepted by dropping them into the post box at the surgery.

How to become a Dispensary patient 

Speldhurst dispense medications to any registered patient that live more than a mile from the nearest chemist.
